Our capsule collection of Kashmiri Crewel Duster Coats are heirloom pieces: rooted in a long history of crewel stitch and inspired by the timeless and avant garde patterns of Sonia Delaunay. These coats are a fresh interpretation of a traditional and famed Kashmiri embroidery technique. This piece is named vozul - Kashmiri for red; it's crafted in a rich palette ranging from blush to apricot to burgundy to coffee to maroon, with highlights in cream and golden zari.
- Note: our current batch of coats now include hand-beaten brass buttons with a hidden placket down the front, so the coat can be closed
- Wide-cut body with relaxed silhouette
- Dropped shoulders with slightly cropped sleeves and raised, kimono-style collar
- Patch pockets, featuring the initials of the artisan in Kashmiri
- Heavy weight outer and fully lined in a silk-cotton blend
- Falls to just below the knee
